The Trustees of the Titsey Foundation are delighted to have opened a Tea Room during the early summer of 2007. This has involved the conversion and refurbishment of the old dairy buildings at Home Farm.
We have rehomed the calves and young stock at Pitchfont Farm and during the autumn and winter of 2006/2007 carried out an extensive refurbishment of the building following planning consent being granted in 2006 for this change of use.
The work involved removing all of the cattle cubicles and agricultural fixtures and fittings and perhaps most noticeably totally re cobbling the courtyard and installing a glass roof over the young stock building. We have tried to maintain the character and rural nature of the buildings as much as possible and now offer tea and coffee with light refreshments by arrangement and on public opening days. The area is also occasionally open to the public for special functions.
