Plan Your Visit –
House and Gardens

Opening Times 2025

The gardens, house and tea-room are open from the 14th May until 24th September 2025. Tours take place every hour from 1.30pm. Tickets for the day’s tours are issued on a first come first served basis. Please ensure you arrive early, particularly on a Wednesday and if the weather is good, to avoid disappointment as later tours often get booked up quickly.

St James’s Church is open at the same time as the gardens and at other times by appointment only. The Church cannot be accessed on foot from Titsey Place and Gardens, and that you must drive around the estate via Water Lane/Bluehouse Lane, under the M25 and to Titsey Hill where there is limited road parking on Pilgrims Lane.

General Information

Only guide dogs allowed in the house and gardens. All dogs are welcome on the Woodlands Walks and in the general picnic area near the visitors’ car park.

Disability Access

The gem of the gardens is the Victorian Walled Garden. Although this garden has well-formed gravel paths which can be accessed by a wheelchair in good weather, in the rain these can prove difficult to navigate. The house tour covers two floors and there are also steps between many of the rooms. It is therefore not suited to anyone with severe mobility problems. The Tea Room café has good disability access, accessible toilets and the disabled car park is situated immediately alongside.

Note – it is about 300m from the Tea Rooms café to Titsey Place (10min walk). For those less-abled please contact the office in advance (office@titsey.org) to arrange for a wheelchair.

After touring the house and strolling through the gardens, visitors can enjoy a delicious Afternoon Tea in our Tea Rooms café
